Training

The following training programs have been developed to help you expand your stakeholder engagement data management skills and extract maximum value from your use of Darzin.

Most programs can be combined in customised packages for organisations with multiple users. Contact us at sales@darzin.com to discuss your training needs for your community consultation project or your organisatons stakeholder engagement program.  

Using Darzin Well

This is our most popular training course. We deliver it on-site at your premises (or via a web training session) and it is a hands-on course. We often customise this course to suit your specific needs as well - for example training your team on your public participation data, with your protocols and other data entry rules that we also help you develop. The course covers the following topics:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of what Darzin is and how it works
  • Appreciate what sort of questions you can answer using Darzin
  • Project design - how to set up your community consultation project to get the most out of Darzin as well as to support your stakeholder engagement evaluation and other outcomes
  • Selecting the appropriate filters to use for your project or organisation
  • Designing your classification tree
  • Collecting and distributing information – mail merge, importing existing data from spreadsheets, using the meeting page to organise and report on group events, etc
  • Strategies for ensuring consistent data recording across your organisation
  • The power of using qualitative analysis
  • Analyse & Report what the stakholders are telling us

As part of the training process we also help you develop a Protocols document that records the decisions you will make about structuring your data, how you want data captured, what to do with certain types of data such as complaints, reporting schedules, etc. This forms an important record and simple document to brief new team members on the design of the project/data.
