Aldi UK – Public Consultation on Development Projects

Public Consultation and Submissions Management

Aldi have an ambitious UK investment and development program. Aldi are always looking for sites with a catchment population in excess of 10,000 and ideally situated on principal roads with prominent road frontage. Public consultation was managed by Aldi UK through the use of Darzin.

Remarkable Pendragon use Darzin to manage the public consultation process for a number of Aldi projects across the UK.

In early 2017, Aldi submitted a planning application to Durham County Council to build a store in Stanley, County Durham. Darzin was used to manage submission process for the planning application. A feedback form was created in Darzin which was made available online and in hard copy for the local residents and other interested parties at the planning meeting. Nearly 200 feedback forms and 300 reply cards were received and analysed in Darzin. The results of the consultation were included in the planning application.
